Is this tool affiliated with any regulator?
squared.engineering is an independent study and career-tracking tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Engineers Canada or any provincial engineering regulator. The competency framework is based on the Engineers Canada national standard used across participating provinces.
How does Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) work?
Watson features use Anthropic’s Claude API. You provide your own API key from console.anthropic.com and pay Anthropic directly. Your key never touches our servers - it’s stored locally in your browser.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your data is stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security (RLS). Only you can access your data. You can export or delete everything at any time.
Does the AI write my competency narratives for me?
No. AI features are organizational aids - they help you structure and articulate your own genuine experience. All content is authored by you. We explicitly discourage fabrication.
